Pan Tours Hawaii was incorporated in 1978, wholesaling tickets to various agencies throughout the state. In June of 1981 Panda Travel, the company s retail outlet, was created forming The Panda Group. The combination of Panda Travel and Pan Tours Hawaii has grown into more than five retail agencies, a staff of nearly 160 employees and ticketing for more than 1 million passengers a year. Panda Travel has direct access to hundreds of thousands of hotel properties throughout the world, car rental agencies and more than 300 United States and foreign airlines from its two reservation systems, Sabre and Apollo. Panda Travel maintains its corporate headquarters in Honolulu.
