Heartspring, established in 1934, is a nonprofit organization that operates residential school, and offers support services and day programs for children with physical disabilities and mental disorders. The school offers education and learning programs in grades one through 10 to students, and provides additional services that include speech and language tutorials, diagnostic testing and consultation, psychotherapy and summer events. The organization has trained therapists, audiologists, medical assistants and psychologists that provide pediatric services, such as pathology, occupational therapy and psychological services to students. It also operates a hearing center that sells a variety of hearing aids, including signaling devices for doorbells, televisions, amplified telephones, and ringers and alarm clocks. Heartspring is located in Wichita, Kan.
