American Polish Cultural Society, based in Troy, Mich., is a nonprofit organization that promotes Polish heritage, culture and language. Its facility, located on a more than 10-acre site, is used for membership activities, including weekly card parties, bingo, ballroom dancing, and summer socials. Its banquet facility is available for weddings, showers, retirement parties, christenings, graduations, funeral receptions, Christmas parties, and special events. American Polish Cultural Society, established in 1985, also hosts children s Polish folk dancing and language classes. Wawel Restaurant, established in 1991 at the center, features Polish-American cuisine, including veal schnitzel, breaded pork chops, veal and pork goulash, golabski, pierogi, potato pancakes, meat loaf, and baked chicken.
