Epworth By The Sea, located in St. Simons Island, Ga., is a Christian conference and retreat center. It offers a wide variety of accommodations and facilities to its guests, such as people attending retreats, conferences and on vacation. Situated on the banks of Frederica River, the center is a ministry owned and operated by the South Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church. Established in 1950, the facility is one of the leading Christian retreat centers in the Southeast, and provides a Christian place for worship, study and fellowship. Epworth By The Sea is spread on an area of more than 80-acres, and has more that five motels and over 10 family apartments. It also offers several youth buildings, swimming pool and tennis courts.
