Founded in 1968, The Florida Orchestra is one of the leading regional orchestras in America. The orchestra performs more than 150 concerts annually. Its musicians has expertise in playing a variety of instuments, such as trumpet, flute, bass, piccolo, piano, trombone, clarinet and violoncello. The Florida Orchestra offers services for various concert hall performances, park concerts, educational programs and special events. The orchestra provides assistance with the development of emotional, social and intellectual skills of over 100,000 people through music. It also operates the Young Artists Competition program, which is open to students up to the age of 22. The Florida Orchestra is a member of the International Conference of Symphony and Opera Musicians. The orchestra is located in Tampa, Fla.
