Bijou Caf , located in Sarasota, Fla., is an American restaurant serving continental cuisine. The restaurant, owned and operated by chef Jean-Pierre Knaggs and his wife since 1986, is one of the most popular fine dining restaurants in Sarasota. The restaurant seats 130 people in three separate dining rooms. Its private room seats 24 and is designed for business conferences, meetings and wedding rehearsal dinners. It offers bar and lounge with seating at the cherry wood bar for 9 and at tables for about 20 people. It also offers two outside courtyards created for alfresco dining. The cuisine at Bijou Caf reflects Jean-Pierre s South African and French heritage. The award-winning wine list available at Bijou Caf features selections from the United States, France and around the world. The wine list carries one of the most extensive selections of South African wines in Florida. Bijou Caf has been distinguished by the Zagat Survey top ten, Town and Country magazine, Bon Appetit and Gourmet and is a consistent winner of the Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence.
