Hometown Buffet, located in San Marcos, Calif., is one of more than 160 Hometown Buffet restaurants throughout the United States. The restaurant offers patrons a scatter buffet system with a large selection of salads, soups, entrees, desserts and beverages. Its parent company, Buffets Incorporated, also operates more than 250 Old Country Buffet restaurants, three Granny s Buffets and two Country Roadhouse Buffet locations in 37 states. The Hometown Buffet concept was established in 1989 and merged with Buffets Incorporated in 1996. Together, the group forms one of the largest restaurant chains in the United States.
