Northern California and Nevada District of the Assemblies of God is an evangelical denomination emphasizing on the study of the Bible. Its church development and education ministry comprises several ministries, including boys and girls missionary crusade, leadership, senior adult, prayer and kids ministries. Its women s ministry oversees various annual projects and scholarship programs for students of Bethany College. It has an outreach ministry known as the Chi Alpha that reaches out to secular colleges and universities throughout the United States. The Assemblies of God is one of the largest evangelical organizations in the world with more than 4,500 long- and short-term foreign missionaries serving in over 100 countries.
