Aunt Chilada’s Squaw Peak is a full-service, authentic Mexican restaurant located in Phoenix. Opened in 1995, it offers patrons a variety of Mexican cuisine, including appetizers, tacos, tostadas, combination plates, burros, desserts and alcoholic beverages. The restaurant also features live entertainment, and meeting and banquet rooms. One third of the restaurant is comprised of patios that offer the feel of Old Mexico. Full menus are offered in the Palapa bar, which is a casual setting outside of the more formal areas of the inner restaurant. Constructed in the 1890 s from desert stone and railroad ties, the original building served as a supply depot and general store for the mercury miners passing through the Dreamy Draw. Aunt Chiladas s has received numerous awards from Phoenix Magazine throughout the years, including Best Restaurant, Best Chips and Salsa and Best Margarita.
