Mountain Reservations is an online travel agency that specializes in providing vacation arrangements to ski resorts in the Rocky Mountains. It books lodging reservations for a variety of resorts, hotels and condominiums in mountain resorts in California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming, as well as Canada. Mountain Reservations proprietary technology provides consumer access to a large, fragmented, hard-to-find inventory of lodging, vacation, cruise and transportation bargains. The travel offerings are primarily in popular ski areas in the United States and Canada, with more recent expansion into the Caribbean and Mexico, as well as cruises. In 2005, Salt Lake City-based Overstock.com purchased Mountain Reservations for more than $25 million.
