Marlin and Ruth Miller opened Miller’s Essenplatz in 1994. It is a family-owned and operated home-style restaurant located in Newark, Ohio. The restaurant s banquet facilities accommodate groups of up to 500 people and can host wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, bus groups, business luncheons, awards banquets, Christmas parties and anniversary parties. Miller’s Essenplatz s banquet dinners feature entr es, salads, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade bread and peanut butter spread. It has a gift shop that sells candles, greeting cards, books and stuffed animals. The restaurant also has a full-service bakery that features a variety of baked goods, such as homemade bread, pies, cookies and cinnamon rolls, as well as custom-made birthday and wedding cakes.
