The Carolina Opry is a musical variety show that is located in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The show was created by Calvin Gilmore, a musical artist and entrepreneur. It shows nightly, except for Sundays, with matinee shows during some times of the year on Saturday. The Carolina Opry also has a seasonal Christmas special running from November until the end of December each year. It is a recipient of the Govenors Cup, the state of South Carolina’s highest award for tourism. It is voted the Best Show by readers of the Myrtle Beach Sun News, a Knight-Ridder newspaper. Its also has been featured on Nbc Nightly News, Cnn, Tnn and USA Today.
