In 1967 Jose Garcia opened the doors to a small jewelry repair shop in Miami. Recently immigrated to the United States from Cuba and hoping to build a better life for his family, Jose developed a strong work ethic and a spirit of excellence that are the founding principles of Jose Garcia Jewelry Shortly thereafter, and at the urging of many of his customers, Garcia began to sell jewelry. Since the shop was too small to accommodate inventory, he worked out of his home and sold jewelry door to door. Because of his attention to detail, perseverance and unparalleled customer service Jose’s small shop grew at a remarkable rate and he soon found himself looking for space in Downtown Miami’s Booming Jewelry District. The ideal location was the historic Seybold building, home to some of the most prestigious jewelers in the Southeast. Jose Garcia Jewelry continued to grow and evolve and today is one of the premier wholesale jewelers in the area. More than 40 years later, Jose Garcia Jewelry is still dedicated to servicing the customer. Jose’s hard work and determination continue to be the engine that drives this family business now being operated by his children and grandchildren.
