Indianapolis Museum of Art is one of the largest and oldest general art museums in the United States. Founded in 1883, the museum features a permanent collection of more than 50,000 works of art. The museum also offers its facilities for national and international exhibitions. Its facilities comprise the Efroymson Entrance Pavilion, the Wood Gallery Pavilion and the Deer-Zink Events Pavilion. The Efroymson Entrance Pavilion serves as the primary point of visitor access to the Indianapolis Museum of Art and its collections, exhibitions and programs. The Wood Gallery Pavilion provides 50 percent more display space for the collections and offers visitor amenities, including two restaurants, museum shop and space for educational programs. The Deer-Zink Events Pavilion is a venue for special events and public programs. The museum is located in Indianapolis.
