Founded in 1923, Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association, also known as Icva, is a private, nonprofit organization that is responsible for to advance tourism and economic growth. It works with a team of more than 60 staff members. The association is responsible for increasing the public awareness of Indianapolis’ cultural, athletic, educational, entertainment activities and civic achievements through Web site presence, media relations, public relations, and electronic and video communications. The Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association serves association executives, leisure travelers, members and local industry partners, and group travel, convention and meeting planners. It also organizes several advertising campaigns.
