Butterkrust Bakery has been baking quality bakery products for more than 84 years. Located in Lakeland, Fla., Butterkrust has a 250,000-square-foot facility owned by C&G Holdings Company of Chicago and operated under the name of Southern Bakeries. The company bakes and distributes products under the Country Hearth, Rich Harvest Premium Bread, Sunbeam and various other labels throughout Florida. Publix Super Markets, with more than 850 stores has been a major customer in both name brand and private label bread products for more than 35 years. In addition, the company serves 7-Eleven convenience stores and Save-A-Lot Supermarkets throughout Florida. Its major restaurant chain customers include Steak ‘n Shake Restaurants, Bob Evans, Denny’s and institutional accounts, such as Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
