Joe’s American Bar & Grill was given the Best American Food’ award from the publication, Where the Locals Eat. The grill features mahogany and brass accents and offers fine dining upstairs and a more upbeat cafe setting on the lower level. For appetizers customers can choose from selections such as crispy calamari, seared Ahi tuna, Maryland lump crab cakes and Joe s Buffalo tenderloins. Its main dishes include swordfish, filet mignon, Maine lobster, Charles River pie and Joe s original burger. Joe s menu also features blackened-chicken Caesar salad, honey-mustard chicken salad and Crazy Harry s Cobb Salad with dressing such as creamy peppercorn, house creamy Italian and raspberry vinaigrette. The Hanover, Mass., restaurant is one of several locations throughout Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
