Since the 1970s, Padre Isles Country Club has been the focal point of North Padre Island. The club s purpose is to promote social enjoyment, golfing, tennis, swimming and other activities at a relaxed, Island pace. It features an 18-hole, par-72 golf course with 6,590 yards to challenge every level of player. Members also have access to a swimming pool and six lighted tennis courts. Throughout the year, Padre Isles staff members administer leagues, clinics and tournaments for all ages. The fitness room is complete with two treadmills, a stationary bicycle, an elliptical trainer and additional resistance training equipment. A personal trainer is available by appointment. Padre Isles Country Club is designated a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System.
