The history of Bakers Square can be traced back to the 1970s when it was founded as Mrs. C s in Des Moines, Iowa. The restaurant was purchased by Pillsbury, which renamed it as Poppin’ Fresh Pies and opened several additional outlets. Pillsbury operated the restaurant chain until 1983 when Vicorp Restaurants purchased Poppin Fresh Pies and founded Bakers Square. Read more...
