Established in 1921, world-renowned Chicago restaurant The Old Barn is full of history. During Prohibition, the restaurant flourished by serving moonshine. In subsequent years, it was a frequent hangout for such luminaries as Charles Lindbergh Jr., W.C. Fields and a number of other actors, statesmen and athletes. The Old Barn features a varied menu that includes chicken limone, South African lobster tails, steak and shrimp and a number of soups, salads and sandwiches. However, its specialty is prime rib, which was voted the best in Chicago by the Daily Southtown newspaper in 2002. The Old Barn can accommodate weddings and banquets from 10 to 400 attendees and offers full-service catering.
