Scholars Inn Bakehouse, founded in 1995, is a full-service bakery that specializes in preparing breads and pastries. Its products are sold at several Indianapolis locations, including retail outlets, and Scholars Inn Gourmet Caf and Wine Bar restaurants. The bakery also offers breakfast sandwiches, pizzas, salads, soups, wines, coffee and tea. Additionally, it offers a signature line of homemade retail items. The bakery s breads are made from organic, unbleached and unbromated flour. Its loaves are hand-formed in the traditional European method and baked in French-made brick masonry oven. Located in Bloomington, Ind., Scholars Inn Bakehouse works in association with The Kroger Company, Georgetown Health Foods, Espresso Royale and O’Malias Markets.
