Avon Old Farms Inn is a restaurant and conference center that was established in 1757. Thomas North settled the site of the inn in 1678. Now part of the inn, the foyer, lobby, private dining room and upper private dining room comprise North’s original home. The inn s dining menu includes appetizers, such as shrimp, clams, crab and lobster bisque; salads; classic dishes, such as veal sentino, swordfish and prime rib; meat dishes that include chicken, ribs, sirloin, filet mignon and veal; seafood dishes; and pasta dishes. The conference center at Avon is an expansion of the inn. The menus and service can be tailored to the special needs of a group meeting in the conference center or in one of the historic restaurant’s private meeting rooms. With several venues to choose from at one location, the conference center has a meeting place for all guests. Avon Old Farms Inn is located in Avon, Conn.
