Founded in 1849, the Louisiana Baptist Convention is an association of Baptist churches located in Alexandria, La. It is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention that is composed of more than 1,500 member congregations representing 619,490 members. The organization s ministries divisions provide missions services to churches and associations through several task areas, such as language missions, men’s ministry, volunteer mobilization, church and community and church starting. Its collegiate ministry is a cooperative program ministry for more than 30 campuses funded by the Louisiana Baptist Convention. The church also provides resources, training events, conferences and personal consultation sessions. It also offers Sunday worship classes that include drama, praise band, and scripture reading and teaching for adults, youth and single adults.
