Established in 1856 as a train car repair shop for the Chicago Burlington and Quincy railroads, Walter Payton’s Roundhouse is an entertainment organization that is named after Walter Payton, an athlete celebrity and spread over an area of more than 70,000 square feet. Its facilities include the Walter Payton Museum, restaurant, brewpub, comedy club, microbrewery, corporate meeting rooms, and wedding and banquet units. The organization works to meet the recreational and family entertainment needs of individuals of all ages. It offers space for organizing various special events, such as corporate meetings, banquet functions, wedding ceremonies, reception parties, rehearsal dinners, family gatherings and birthday celebrations. Additionally, it maintains a store that offers hats, gift certificates, beverage accessories and a variety of apparel. Walter Payton’s Roundhouse maintains a location in Aurora, Ill.
