M.W. Samara has designed, manufactured and distributed sterling silver jewelry since 1972. Samara was one of the first companies to sell sterling silver jewelry to specialty stores and boutiques in the United States. The founder of the company is Mark Wasserman. In the early 1970s, Wasserman traveled to Taxco, Mexico, worked with local artisans and developed a line of silver jewelry that he could sell to small retailers that were emerging in the United States. The Samara showroom is located in New York. A manufacturing and main office facility is located 30 miles north of New York in Hawthorne, N.Y. M.W. Samara s products are manufactured in factories in the United States, Thailand, Italy, Mexico and China.
