Wild Mountain Ski Area is part of the Wild Mountain and Taylor s Falls recreation area in Taylor s Falls, Minn. The recreation area provides year-round activities, such as Wild Mountain ski and snowboard area in the winter, Waterpark, Alpine Slides, Taylor Falls Scenic boat trips, canoe and kayak rentals, Wildwood Rv Park and campground, and banquet rooms for the spring, summer and fall. The Wild Mountain Alpine Slides and Go-karts offers four water slides, hydro-fountains, water cannons and bubblers. There are daily scenic boat cruises on the St. Croix River. The fleet of excursion boats includes the Taylor s Falls Queen and the Taylor s Falls Princess. . Among the sights is the huge stone cross for which the St. Croix River was named. Other sites include: the world’s largest glacial kettles or ‘pot holes’, Devil’s Chair, Lion’s Head, Turk’s Head and the highlight of the boat tour, The Old Man of the Dalles – natural rock face. Wildwood Campground offers a variety of campsites, with activities such as a self guided nature trail or mountain bike trail, swimming pool, basketball, volleyball or horseshoes. The banquet facilities include three separate rooms. The cost for each room includes: security, a dance floor, setup and cleanup. Wild Mountain has no bar minimum.
